In Ashtabula County, Ohio, getting a building permit has now become a little more easy. When you apply for a building permit, you also need to include copies of any zoning and health department permits that apply to your project. This helps the Building Department to make sure that all rules are followed before giving the green light. Before this change, enforcing zoning and health regulations was a little bit tricky.
There is no need to worry if you haven't received all the required permits, you can still submit your building permit application without them. But remember, the Building Department won't stamp it as approved until they have all the required documents in hand.
