Do you need a permit to use water for other needs in California during a drought?

Most people don't get deep in the weeds enough to warrant applying for a permit in this case. It would have to be a fairly large and important project to warrant a permit. But hey, if anyone felt the need for permits concerning water, it would California, I guess.

California has a wild hog problem, is in top 10 for feral pigs

Change the law to 10,000 per hunter. Or change the amount of kills permitted based on the projected population, versus the number of licensed hunters in the state.

Maryland changes drivers test, autistic man finally passes

Yeah, I never understood some wording on those tests either. The wording seemed more complicated than it had to be. Maryland isn't the only state, so I'm glad they did something about it.

Chicago Help For Migrants in Securing Work Permits

I don't think illegal immigrants think like that anymore. They don't hide from authorities. I think it's great that states are taking matters into their own hands like this, because it's obvious the feds can't do it.

Office Review Maricopa County Planning and Development Department

I thought making your own site plan was par for the course? Who else would be qualified to make one? Reviews are only good for getting a sense of what people are talking about. You have to have your own experiences to determine if they are helpful to you personally or not.

Nisqually Tribe seeks approval to handle own building permitting

That's what most Indian tribes have been known for: Stewards of the land. Even if the self-oversight allows for buildings and land use to be a bit different from usual, that's not a bad thing.

Doing it right the first time...

What kind of ramp is it? I'm picturing a wheelchair ramp for an entranceway and, if that's the case, it should be able to be removed. The other thing that caught my eye was that someone needs a permit for something that doesn't alter the structure in any way. This adds to livability in a...

Which States Allow the Permitless Carry of Guns?

In Arizona, you can open carry and conceal carry. A 15-year-old can do either when in the presence of a qualified adult. (Non felon) I have only seen a handful of adults in Arizona open carry though.

Using someone's Handicap tag could be a hefty fine

Call me a cynic, but for every rule, there is a workaround. This is a fact, so it amazes me that lawmakers wait until people break certain rules before they put more specificity on laws.

    Pulling Your Own Permits

I have been told I can save money by pulling my own permits for electrical work that needs to be done on a house I own. Does anyone know if there is truth to that?

What kind of home improvements do not require permits in the United States?

What if I keep my plants in the bathtub? :D Debashis is correct, though. Consult with your local building department. In most cases, the town website will have the information you need with regard to what work needs a permit or not.

Fibre and Wireless Companies push for incentives in permit reforms.

I find it ironic that we are still using offline methods of permitting online companies. I understand this is a legal issue, and it goes to show that laws have a hard time keeping up with “e-changes”. This is a good thing.
